The Nicholson School of Communication at UCF is great! Right now I am in the second year of my program. I’ve started my thesis, which will focus on the broad topic of Entertainment-Education, as studied by Arvind Singhal and Everett M. Rogers, and the more specific theory of transportation, as coined by Green and Brock. My thesis director is Dr. Ann Miller. She’s been wonderful and supportive. I’m looking forward to submitting my official research proposal by the end of this semester, and to start my experiment in early January. Wish me luck!

This is my dream job! This is a great project I work on with Ryan Price. In Orlando Scene TV we explore entertainment options in Orlando for hip 20-somethings. We find the restaurants, bars, and bands that are overshadowed by Disney and Universal Studios, but that add to the wonderful, eclectic opportunities Orlando has to offer. I am a host and assistant producer on this project. I make it my job to experience the events and environments for the viewers so they can feel excited and safe about trying new things in this area.
