Pictures from "Creation," plus news on my Fringe Shows!

Hi Folks,

I've added pictures from my most recent show "CREATION: Births of Mythlogy," performed at Valencia College.  It closed yestrday.  I'm incredibly proud of my students.  I directed the design, but my students truly did the hard work perfecting the designs for the puppets, incorporating their unique artistry in everything the built.  I was much more of a guide than a dictator :-)

As the puppets were completed they moved into rehearsal.  I directed the puppetry manipulation, which was incredibly fun!  It was a great privalege to have TWO puppetry captains - Fara Fadizan and Malcolm Boniface. They gave notes when I was unable to attend rehearsals.  It was a generous cast and a lovely experience.  A privalege to be a part of this.

And with the close of one show comes the opening of two others.  This weekend I began rehearsals for "Future Legend" by Corey Volence, to premier at the Orlando 2017 Fringe Festival.  Kevin Becker is directing the show, and I am directing the movement.  I'm very excited for this next collaboration!  Phantasmagoria Orlando is also bringing a show to the Orlando Fringe:  "Phantasmagoria:  Wickedest Tales of All!"  Written by John Didonna, directed by John Didonna, Kevin Becker, and Seth Kubersky.  And, of course, there will be a fantasic puppet in this show!  I had a final meeting with our builder Brendan McWilliams on Saturday and was incredibly impressed with his work.

Pictures and updates to come!

Love and roses,

Rebekah
