Facilitator

Designing collaborative processes for leadership, learning, and community impact

I work as a facilitator with leadership teams, academic institutions, and community organizations navigating complexity, growth, and change. My facilitation practice focuses on helping groups clarify vision, strengthen collaboration, and move from intention to aligned action.

I bring more than nineteen years of experience across higher education, non-profit arts organizations, and interdisciplinary project leadership. My background as an artist and educator informs how I read group dynamics, structure conversations, and design processes that support trust, inclusion, and shared ownership.

What This Work Looks Like

I am hired to facilitate processes such as:

  • Strategic and creative visioning
  • Interdisciplinary collaboration design
  • Faculty and leadership retreats
  • Arts-in-health and community-engaged initiatives
  • Organizational conversations requiring care, clarity, and structure
  • Partnerships between institutions and external stakeholders

Engagements may be short-term or sustained, depending on the scope and goals of the work.

How I Work

My facilitation style is collaborative, structured, and attentive to both people and systems. I design processes that encourage participation while maintaining clear focus and forward momentum.

I am especially attentive to:

  • Process design that scaffolds engagement and decision-making
  • Listening and presence within groups navigating competing priorities
  • Translation across value systems, particularly between artists, educators, administrators, and community partners
  • Consent-based and inclusive practices that support meaningful participation

I am comfortable holding ambiguity and navigating the in-between. When clarity is needed, I am also prepared to support groups in making and implementing decisions.

Bridging Institutions and Communities

Much of my facilitation work involves aligning institutional goals with community needs. I have extensive experience initiating and supporting collaborations between academic programs, arts organizations, and civic partners—ensuring projects are mutually beneficial, sustainable, and educationally sound.

My background in communication, entertainment-education, and arts-in-health research allows me to support projects that are both human-centered and outcomes-driven.
